Terms of Service

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use metrendee. By using the service you confirm that you are 18 or older and that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

You are responsible for keeping your account secure and for all activity that takes place under it.

2. What the service does

metrendee lets you upload a photo and generate short, AI-produced entertainment videos that place you into predefined trend scenes. The output is generated by automated artificial-intelligence systems.

Results are inherently variable and unpredictable. We do not guarantee that any generated video will be accurate, lifelike, flattering, error-free, or suited to any particular purpose. Generated content is provided for personal entertainment only.

3. Credits

Access to video generation is paid for using credits. One credit is consumed each time you start a generation. New accounts may receive a limited number of free credits at our discretion; free credits carry no cash value and may be changed or withdrawn at any time.

Credits are prepaid, are sold in packs, do not expire, and have no monetary value outside the service. Credits are tied to your account, are non-transferable, and cannot be exchanged for cash except where required by law.

A credit spent on a generation that fails for technical reasons on our side is automatically returned to your balance as a credit. This automatic credit return is the standard remedy for failed generations. Prices, pack sizes, and the number of credits required per generation may change; changes do not affect credits you have already purchased.

4. Your photos and content

You may only upload photos that you have the legal right to use. You must either be the person shown in the photo, or have the explicit consent of every identifiable person depicted.

• You may not upload photos of other people without their consent, including public figures or celebrities.

• You may not upload photos of minors.

• You may not use the service to create content that is unlawful, defamatory, sexual or pornographic, hateful, harassing, or that impersonates or deceives others (including deceptive "deepfakes" of real people).

You are solely responsible for the photos you upload and for how you use the videos you generate. We may refuse, remove, or block any content and may report unlawful content to the authorities.

5. Licence and ownership

You grant us a limited, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store and process your uploaded photo for the sole purpose of generating your requested video and operating the service. Source photos are deleted shortly after processing, as described in our Privacy Policy.

As between you and us, you may use the videos you generate for lawful personal purposes. AI-generated output may not be eligible for copyright protection in some jurisdictions, and we make no warranty as to the intellectual-property status of generated content.

We retain all rights in metrendee itself, including the software, models, trend templates, branding, and underlying technology. Nothing in these Terms transfers those rights to you.

6. Acceptable use and anti-abuse

You agree not to misuse the service. In particular, you must not:

• commit fraud, use stolen or unauthorised payment methods, or provide false information;

• initiate chargebacks or payment disputes instead of contacting us to resolve an issue in good faith;

• resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit credits or generated content except as expressly permitted;

• create multiple or fake accounts to abuse free credits or promotions;

• use bots, scripts, scraping, or other automated means to access the service, or attempt to bypass, overload, or circumvent the credit system, security, or any usage limits.

We treat abuse, fraud, and chargeback misuse seriously and may take the actions described in section 9.

7. Payments

Payments are processed by our payment provider, Stripe, in euros (EUR). By purchasing, you authorise the charge and confirm that you are permitted to use the payment method. Prices are shown at checkout and may include applicable taxes.

We do not receive or store your full card details; these are handled by Stripe.

8. Refunds

Credits are digital content that is made available for immediate use. Our refund practices, and how the EU right of withdrawal applies to prepaid credits, are set out in our separate Refund Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

9. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate your access, remove content, and cancel pending generations if we reasonably believe you have breached these Terms, engaged in fraud or abuse, or initiated an unwarranted chargeback.

Where we terminate your account for fraud, chargeback abuse, or a serious breach of these Terms, any remaining credits may be forfeited without refund, to the extent permitted by law. You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time.

10. Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the service and all generated content are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. AI systems can produce unexpected, incorrect, or low-quality results, and you accept this risk when using the service.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the service.

Our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the service is limited to the greater of (a) the total amount you paid to us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) €50.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including your mandatory rights as a consumer and our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

12. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims, damages, and costs arising out of the photos and content you upload, your use of generated videos, or your breach of these Terms or of any law or third-party right.

13. Changes

We may update the service and these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will take reasonable steps to notify you. Your continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

14. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Lithuania and applicable European Union law. Where you use the service as a consumer, you also benefit from the mandatory protections of the law of your country of residence, and this choice of law does not deprive you of those protections.

Consumers in the EU may also submit disputes to the European Commission Online Dispute Resolution platform at https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
